In some postdoc programs, the fellow plays a supportive role and contributes to someone else’s ongoing research agenda. However, Drs. Wolff and Boyd have designed this program to support fellows in pursuing their own research interests and building the skills and connection needed to launch their careers.
The protected time in this post-doc has enabled me to focus on advancing and disseminating my research, publishing four first-author papers in the first six months, while further developing the other skills required for an academic career–managing projects and budgets, writing grants, and building collaborative research relationships across institutions.”
